What You Can Write Papers On and Take Tests In Nowadays

    ByElizabeth August 9, 2013August 9, 2013

I was out at George Mason University’s Fairfax campus to be one of the speaker’s at a seminar being offered by the Department of Labor.

I’m all for exploring one’s own consciousness and, by steady and consistent effort, aligning better (I prefer to speak of alignment rather then engaging the overused and debatable term “transformation”). They don’t seem quite right as academic subjects.

    Sculpture Around Town

    ByElizabeth August 8, 2013August 8, 2013

One of my favorite things about my job is that the East Wing of the National Gallery is almost across the street. Taking breaks is not only necessary for peace of mind and health and happiness, but also improves the chances of thinking and functioning at our best.

    Siva-Sakti

    ByElizabeth August 5, 2013August 5, 2013

And I imagined coming and heaping red sandalwood powder and golden turmeric on the concrete barriers shaped just like linga that are next to the fountain and guard this building devoted to human labor.

    Found Exhortation

    ByElizabeth August 3, 2013August 3, 2013

One of my yoga teacher trainers used to say that though he loved all of his students, that did not necessarily mean that he liked all of them or everything about them.

Recognizing and honoring universal worthiness and connection — which I think is essential to our getting along in this crowded world of ours –does not mean that we will not have preferences both innate and trained.

Theory of the Practice and the Practice of the Practice?

    ByElizabeth August 1, 2013August 1, 2013

To understand anything fully, we must know both the why and the how, to explore the meaning and the experience. Though I was taught this in connection with meditation, it applies to most anything wants both to feel fully and to be able to repeat and to communicate.
