Signs Around Town

I took a Zoom asana class this morning, because I like to see how others are leading practices these days. It was a sweet and gentle class. At the beginning, the person leading acknowledged that it was Valentines Day, and then said instead of talking about love, let’s talk about suffering. It was suggested that the attention we bring through the yoga practices to our suffering, can help us ease it. That would be an act of love, wouldn’t you agree?

Today like Spring
After yesterday’s bitter cold.
The moon very full.

Sometimes when I find myself getting anxious about having to do something, the best way to ease the anxiety is to start getting the thing done, than to continue thinking about doing it.
What about you?

I wonder what it was like before the floor was added—wouldn’t have had this reflection.
Today it is quite overcast and yesterday, as it will be again, was a perfect day to watch the clouds.

This morning, when the timer went off, I was so deep into a train of thought, it took me a moment to realize I had been sitting to meditate. It’s a practice.

This sounds like things I have heard in meditation and yoga classes and in various memes that have gone around over the years. Never understood what it meant. I expect it’s best if what it means to have an inner goddess is left each to their own.
