I had to address some stressful/annoying things today. Knowing this, I made sure to take a walk in the bright light.

State of the Garden (and Lila)
I meant to post a picture of yet another heart-shaped cloud (this one a rosy pink at twilight). The memory card that had the picture, though, insisted on being reformatted and dissolving the data. One minute there, the next second dissolved–play (lila) like Shiva. I offer you instead this picture of the African violet again in full bloom. It is a plant happy to be where it is.
Found Exhortation (and Sadhana)
Have you done your practice (in Sanskrit–sadhana) today, whatever your practice may be?
If you don’t yet have a regular practice, what do you think it would take? I recommend starting small–allow it to be short and what you like to practice, rather than failing because you think it must be challenging or for a longer period of time than fits readily into your schedule.

Shanti Yatra
Yesterday I walked over to the White House and joined at the final step of a pilgrimage for peace in Gaza. Among the walkers and those giving voice at the White House were Jews, Muslims, Catholics, Baptists, AME, Hindus, Quakers, Lutherans, and other Christian denominations.
The speaker representing Hindus for Human Rights said this was a shanti yatra—literally a pilgrimage for peace. Every step, every action, every word for peace a prayer embodied.
