Temporary Visitor

I was feeling a bit melancholy at work this morning, so I went across the street at lunchtime and soaked up some beauty.
I am indeed blessed (by a combination of conscious choice and effort and good fortune) that I am able to take a lunch break on many days and that there are multiple opportunities to connect to beauty steps from work and home.
A mourner asks, who is going to step up and defend the rights of women?
My answer is each and every one of us; how can we expect someone else to step up unless we are doing it ourselves?
I think the wish that RGB Rest In Peace and rest in power can be an exhortation to the living. When we can live resting in our own peace and power, then we will have what we need to persist and shift.

Have you savored something today? Appreciated it essence? Have you found something for which to be grateful even if it is too hot, your garden is suffering from drought, and work has perhaps yielded no tangible immediate reward other than a paycheck if you are fortunate enough to have work? Can you taste some good in a mediocre meal–even if it is just reveling in the combination of plenty to eat and having a discriminating palate?
