I went to visit today. Is it wrong for me to so delight in the grace of this sculpture—when it is so far from where it was originally created (Tamil Nadu, India)?


The sky emptiest of moonlight, the darkness of the absent moon of mahashivratri lets the stars reveal themselves and illuminate the fullness of possibility. That it is also the first day of meteorological Spring and was the State of the Union feels like quite a confluence.

I wish the evident influence of colonialism and global capitalism that influenced what textiles were created and preserved over the centuries.
