Afternoon Walk
I meant to go somewhere else. When I got outside, I found my feet taking me to the river.

Practice, contemplation, and insights
I meant to go somewhere else. When I got outside, I found my feet taking me to the river.

Maitri has been fussed while construction prevents her from going outside on the catio. This morning, she went into the yoga practice room, went into a trance, and projected herself astrally into the garden.

Drops of ice like jewels on the telephone wires.

I love having things around the house that I have brought home from my travels. They help me imagine other times and places.
The crystal conch shell I brought home from India. The turtle with its fire opal I brought home from Mexico.

I thought by this time, I might be feeling the cold and the dark, so I brought home a new orchid, which/who continues to bloom extravagantly.
