Pink Full Moon and Geraniums

Practice, contemplation, and insights
Down by the river,
I was blessed to see two hawks
Soaring on the winds.

With trees reflecting back.

I was cranky at work today. I remembered to open to beauty. The scent of these lilies of the valley reminded me of my maternal grandmother and old-fashioned French perfume.
After first looking
In all directions to see
No one was in sight.

I looked up this morning to notice that an orchid from Trader Joe’s from before the pandemic, decided to bloom.

By the time I turned
Back towards home from the river
The clouds were all gone.
