Peacock as Ride (Vahana)
Here’s Murugan (a/k/a Subramanyam or Kartikeya) with a fantastic peacock ride (vahana) in one of the magical pieces of fabric on exhibit at the Textile Museum.
I wish the evident influence of colonialism and global capitalism that influenced what textiles were created and preserved over the centuries.
