Found Exhortation
It is my experience that if I can simultaneously accept that I am ultimately not in control even while I am working to meet a particular goal that I feel less stressed by the vagaries of fate.
It’s not easy to do, but I do think that is the balance that the yoga practices–the ones that aren’t trying to have us transcend embodiment–are trying to teach us. And as the weather gets wilder, there will be more opportunities for practice.

New Leaves on Roses
As I enjoy the briefly warmish weather before it is cold again tomorrow, I delight in the very earliest signs of spring (check out the leaves starting on the rose bushes all around town) and remember why I love this city filled with gardens and flowers.

Trishula
The trishula represents all the philosophical threesomes:
sat cit ananda (being, consciousness, bliss);
iccha, jnana, kriya (will, knowledge, action);
siva and shakti and the dance of relationship between the two.The me and the you and the us–for where there are two ones there is also the third and all the play (lila) and pulsation (spanda) that is part of the dance cosmic and divine and personal.
