Through the Window, With Reflections, Saturn and Jupiter

This is the first evening in several when it was possible to view the planets. They grow closer.

The phone pictures do not begin to show how magical the sliver of oversized crescent moon in line with the approaching conjunction.
PS Details to post soon for Zoom practice Thanksgiving morning. I hope you will join me wherever you will be (10-11:30am EST).

They are only visible for a short while between the time it is dark enough for their light to be visible and before they set.
No matter what happens this week, there will be those who attribute it to the relative alignment of the planets and the stars.

They pull me to go look at them–Jupiter and Saturn in conjunction–so bright. The waxing moon’s brightness shone over its own shadow and also Saturn.
