They are still not fully settled in to their new surroundings, but they are doing well. A pair of mockingbirds decided to set up shop in my backyard this morning. The cats are mesmerized.
Where You Happen to Be
A member of a text group of hyper local neighbors sent a text with a “rainbow alert,” as a fierce thunderstorm was coming to an end.
I was already watching and photographing. Another neighbor sent a photo of an enormous tree limb that had just fallen to the sidewalk due to the storm. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
State of the (Rose) Garden
The first summer I was in my house, I planted a climbing rose. Last year, two babies separated from the main plant. Although it is mostly shady in the front, I decided to see if it would take there and grace the front entrance. It’s got one bloom and fresh leaves even in the heat wave. I will continue to tend it.
Found Exhortation That Raises More Questions Than It Answers
What do they mean by “God?”
Do they mean anyone’s “God” or just the signwriting collective’s “God?”
Do they extend the wishes of their notion of “God” only to those who believe in the same “God” or is this just meant to convey undifferentiated wishes of auspiciousness and love to all?
Inquiring minds want to know.
