Signs Around Town
What a different message–signs on glass windows and those on boarded up windows. I was out of the house on Tuesday for garden supplies. How much things in the neighborhood seem to change when I’m going out only a couple times a month instead of a couple of times a day.

National Cathedral
As I witnessed my cozy house shaking and rattling in this my first really measurable earthquake, I got a much deeper appreciation of just how quickly things can fall apart despite apparent solidity. It felt clear to my very core that to be able to weather whatever comes what we need to know as unshakable is our own deepest self. What happens when the emblems of faith, such as the National Cathedral, are shaken by the strength and awesome power of nature?
Yoga Around Town
I went to an in person yoga class today for the first time since before the pandemic started. I was alone in choosing to mask and distance—but the ventilation was good. I really enjoyed being there. In conversation after, a couple of people whom I have missed seeing quietly volunteered to me that they were fully vaccinated. I appreciated that.

I passed this on my walk to practice.
