I was in this instance able to connect the object with its proper home and alert the right person to return it there.

Murtis Around Town
When is garden statuary merely a decorative object and when is it a murti–an object of devotion, a representation of some aspect of the divine? It may well seem different for the artist, the person who chose its location, and the viewers.
Would you have a different reaction if this angel was on the grounds of a church? What about a temple? A national park? Your workplace? A sculpture museum?

Lunchtime Walk
I was having an anxiety provoking type of morning. When I walked out to address one of the things that needed to be addressed, the trees reminded me to pay attention to beauty, while I was doing what needs to be done.
A Job That Would Not Be for Me
These workers were caulking the fifth floor windows of my building today. It was snowing. (the flakes were too fine to show up in the photograph.) I wish them (and will donate money and sign petitions, write letters, etc to back up my wishes for all workers) health care, child care, retirement benefits, and a safe (as it can be) job free from discrimination, harassment, and wage theft.
