This full moon, the yoga tradition would have one honor one’s teachers. They don’t have to be formal teachers and certainly do not need to be gurus.

After washing up the dinner things and making a sweet bread with one of the about to be overly abundant butternut squashes, I stepped out on the catio to be greeted by the nearly full moon. The thunderstorms this afternoon were modest, but they cleared out some of the smoke.

Waxing Moon/Hazy Sky
The haze is from the wild fires out west. What might you be able to forego—perhaps a plane or automobile trip—or a degree or two less cooling from any air conditioning you might use to help minimize your contribution to global climate change? Sometimes I have better answers for these questions than others and sometimes I am better at following through, as with any practice.
