There is also another one on the south side of the footbridge to Heritage Island, as I have noticed before. Do they ever switch locations?

From Last Saturday in Front of the White House
Got sick right after and so did not post then. More coincidence than correlation. At the Capitol, the energy includes those giving their all for truth, decency, fairness, inclusion, etc. At the White House there is no balance.
Happy, Overly Optimistic, or Just Plain Crazy?
It’s not something I see everyday: a whistling old man sticking his thumb out for a ride. Pretty sure the first ride he will be offered (or would actually take) is the bus, but I imagine he will be happy with that.
I have no idea what was going on in his mind. Witnessing him made me hope that the older I get, the happier not only will I be, but will be my recollection of the past, however crazy I might appear to be.

Blossoms Around Town
I feel compelled to make clear that I have avoided going to the tidal basin. All the blossoms I have visited have been in my neighborhood at times when few enough were outside that I could maintain full social distancing.
The continuing disregard for the need to social distance–whether out of willful selfishness or ignorance or both is truly alarming.
