The haze is from the wild fires out west. What might you be able to forego—perhaps a plane or automobile trip—or a degree or two less cooling from any air conditioning you might use to help minimize your contribution to global climate change? Sometimes I have better answers for these questions than others and sometimes I am better at following through, as with any practice.

Grapes just picked from the garden. Concord grapes are a native, so they thrive really well. Crostini with beluga lentil sprouts and “Russian Mix” sprouts from the “Sprout People” (includes onion and caraway); almond butter, avocado; and a dash of fine balsamic vinegar.
