Green America’s List of Toxins to Avoid in Personal Care Products
Green America has prepared a helpful list of ingredients to avoid in personal care products, which I offer to you if you are not already familiar with these ingredients and where they are likely to be found. Which of these can you easily avoid, which will take some doing to avoid, but living mindfully with care for yourself and the planet leads you to the doing, and which do you want the product and what it does sufficiently that you do not care about the toxic risk? These questions apply for all sorts of things and not just personal care products.
Sightseeing
The guides who took us to the Taj Mahal and Red Fort were very good. What I appreciated was that they spoke about social issues, including education/literacy, and global warming. Alas, internet connection (lobby only) too erratic today for a photo here.
Walking Barefoot on the Beach
Walking on the beach is a wonderful way, not only to work your feet in a way that is not possible in the confinement of shoes, but also to witness the tendencies of your gait.
After years of paying attention, my feet are fairly straight, and my weight is reasonably distributed. I tend to turn out a bit, especially with my left foot and when walking is more challenging (here, in soft sand on an incline).
Do your feet turn in or out in a way that increases stress on all the joints above your feet?

Self Healing
A few weeks ago, I began having symptoms of “trigger finger.” My reaction was to look up good exercises to counter it and then create a suitable exercise routine. I have done some of the exercises before, although it is the first time using them to address this particular condition of embodiment.
Of the suggested exercises, making a fist and then stretching the affected finger out by itself has been the most effective. This means that I am walking about the house sticking out the middle finger of my left hand.
While I am at it, I figured it couldn’t hurt if I imagined I was showing what I think of the patriarchy. Just saying.
