Blossoms Around Town

I come home all too profoundly aware that these are war times and of the enormity of human suffering.
And, to my great good fortune, I came home to my own kitchen and made a savory lentil stew with whole grain rice garnished with the first fresh herbs from the garden (cilantro and garlic chives).

We all worked from home today.

Long time neighbors and participants in the rose garden yoga posse, who have now retired and are moving to be nearer children and grandchildren, gave me their yard sign.
I will miss them for practice and around the neighborhood. I like, if they must go, that I will think of them fondly every time I come home to this exhortation and its call to practice.

This is an especially fine year for them. I was thinking about what it means to trust that winter will end and the trees will mostly bud , leaf, and fruit again starting in the Spring.
