Blossoms Around Town

One of the practical applications of meditating–of the yoga practice of looking within–is to be able to find beauty when things are ugly or challenging or enervating, etc.
Knowing how to find that beauty may not change what comes at us, but it can change our outlook and approach.
I am easier with the freezing rain knowing that I have invited an orchid to rebloom.
Here’s the garden after the thunderstorm. Please take some healing, grounding breaths and then take action about increasing federal military presence in cities with peaceful protests.

By all means, wish. But then contemplate, evaluate, explore, and act. For as we know, merely wishing won’t make it so and many of our wishes are not what we really want when we think about the work to effectuate and the consequences of realizing them.
What do you truly wish for? For what are you truly willing to focus your energy and attention?
