To what and to whom shall we offer our reverence and create our social altars? How do those choices define us and others?

What does it mean to be here? I ask myself how am I present? What am I doing while I am here?
The chant this evening was “no war, yes, peace.” It is not enough, if things are going to change, just to say what we don’t want. We need to offer and work towards alternatives.

Although incorporation of practice (and the mindset of making everything a dedicated practice) ideally becomes routine, actually practicing should be a never routine, freshly curious, heartfelt engagement. In that regard, I try not to get inured to seeing the signs in the neighborhood.
