“Yes, I do, how are you?” I replied, knowing that she was trying to be helpful. So many of us work in spaces without windows, it was not unreasonable for her to think I might not know it was raining.
Another woman who I did not know said, “I heard it might rain all weekend,” revealing herself as one who gets all knowledge of the weather from tv.
I thought, but did not say, “yes, there is that pesky hurricane coming.”

Though many of the yoga texts would get rid of the ego, I think we’d be pretty incohesive without one. How about seeking to have the ego in healthy balance with all aspects of the self.
With compassion, love, and discrimination (in yoga viveka), we can do far more–for ourselves individually and for society and the planet’s ecosystem as a whole. If you haven’t already, please get out and vote.

I did not know the cyclist, but know people who did. If you’re walking or on a bicycle or skateboard or wheelchair please be wary and be aware. Car drivers please watch out for pedestrians and cyclists, etc.
